The first World Congress was held the 17th of June 1989 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This means that in 2009 it is a 20 years anniversary, what a weekend we are going to have.

The subject that was discussed in 1989 was,
the new FCI-standard, and the need of having an international list
on cases of lensluxation and PRA.

It was decided that the TIIS list would be started.

In 2009 the Congress program will include following lectures:

Veterinarian Victoria M. Kristiansen
- Mammary Gland Tumours in dogs

Veterinary dermatologist :
- Atopic dermatitis and adverse food reactions in the dog

NKK's Veterinarian Kristin Prestrud -

Professor Wenche Farstad
- Reproduction and reproductive problems in the bitch and dog,
including canine herpes virus infection in kennels.

We will also see a video of Dr Grieg and some of her Tibetan Terriers from the 1950's.

We will hear an interview with Angela Mulliner and there will be time for discussions
about developments in the Tibetan Terrier as a breed.
