First
of all I want to thank The Norwegian Tibetan Terrier Club for inviting
me to judge at the Tibetan Terrier World
Congress 2009.
I got my first Tibetan Terrier in 1983, and have since been very fond
of the breed. It wasn't until 1991 I got serious
about dog shows and breeding. The name of my kennel is "Bondekonen",
the name comes from the fact that I live on
a farm. In Norwegian "Bondekonen" means "Farmers wife".
The first litter that was born under this prefix was born in 1995. In
the following years we expanded the flock, at most
we had six Tibetan Terries at once. I have over the years imported dogs
from England, Denmark and Sweden.
I have owned, bred and handled several champions, both in Norway and abroad,
and have achieved group placement in the group with my Tibetan Terriers.
After a while we also wanted a smaller breed, so in 1995 we got our first
Bichon Havanaise.
Also in this breed I have been proud owner and breeder of champions and
also most winning dog of the year.
In the same year, during a show trip to Denmark, I discovered a new and
exciting breed for me, Schapendoes.
This led to us importing our first Schapendoes in 1997; this was in fact
the first Schapendoes in Norway.
I have owned, handled and bred several champions in this breed as well,
as well as achieving top placements
both in Norway and abroad.
Today our flock consists of 4 Schapendoes and 3 Bichon Havanaise. In addition
to dog shows I have trained our dogs in obedience and agility.
Through the years I have held several positions in the breed clubs and
taken courses with and about dogs.
In 2007 I started training to become a judge and was authorized to judge
my first breed, Schapendoes,
in March of 2008.
A well-kept and well-groomed Tibetan Terrier is still one of the most
beautiful things I know :-)
I
look forward to judge the breed during your dog show.
